  Wow!! What an amazing little spot to stay at. We were in the Hollow which was beautiful and lovely and perfect. We loved the little trek to the winery and midnight hot-tubing and stargazing! And a huge shout out to Ed and Nancy who added some great personal touches to our short 2 day stay. The accommodations were great. You can tell they care!

  This is a really nice area and the visitor center is great! The park ranger was a good help with advising my sister and I on a good hiking trail for the amount of time we had.

  I knew of the former Girl Scout Camp Workers & have meet 2 very kind people who spoke with me this past year who are working @ Camp Manitowa. The viewed photos here are encouraging & helpful. I am Thankful for places such as seen here. The very best of all of life to Everyone @ Camp Manitowa.

• Review of "Touch of Nature Environmental Center" at Makanda

  I went to Touch of Nature Dec. 9, 2016 with a few friends from class. It was a quick drive there. There was a lot of scenery, even though most of the leaves on the trees have either fallen off or were about to fall. It was a little cold but we walked around and hung out. There was a hunt going on that day so we didn't venture off the road. One of our friends brought his dog and the dog clearly had a blast. It was a cool experience, especially because we all arrived there a little before sunset. There were some terrific views.
